Chagrin Falls
Tree House

Nestled on five wooded acres in the Chagrin River Valley, this ranch-style home is the epitome of a country residence. It was recently refurbished with earth tone colors to complement the natural surroundings. The overall impact is one of Zen calm.

Notable, is the TV room which features a copper painted metallic ceiling and woodwork trim with a wonderful contemporary copper, gold, black wallpaper that is also used to finish off the vertical blinds. The blinds are a big hit with visitors who can hardly believe the perfection with which the wallpaper strips have been applied to the veins.

Houston Boy’s Room

What better way to surprise your budding baseball fan than with a room decorated in their favorite sports team’s colors with a matching border. This Houston-based bedroom is the pride and joy of the 9-year-old occupant.

The room was transformed in a day to a Cleveland Indians’ fan dream room complete with Cleveland Indians border, a Wahoo Fathead, Cleveland Indians blankets and rug and sports paraphernalia.

The border and fathead went up in seconds and can easily be replaced when team allegiances shift—do I hear Houston Astros. This room is a Home Run.

Bratenahl High-Rise

On the shores of Lake Erie and with views of downtown Cleveland, Bratenahl offers a distinct perspective with big-city excitement combined with a small village ambiance.

This 2200 square foot suite oozes charm and old world panache. There are wallpaper touches in every room combined in interesting and unusual ways. The library features a toile pattern below a checked border that functions as a chair rail topped by cranberry walls.

This display really exhibits the total functionality of wallpaper. Just the smallest elements can make the biggest difference in a room or a home’s design aesthetic.

Herb and Colleen wanted to showcase their extensive collection of prize-winning photos in a newly designed living room. Their selection of an off-white grasscloth was the perfect background for the black and white platinum images. The grasscloth is a natural fiber with the hint of texture which adds warmth and depth to the space without competing for attention. A perfect neutral selection that makes a good room great.

Cuyahoga Creative

Talk about the creative applications of wallpaper. This Cuyahoga County residence epitomizes wallpaper at its most dynamic and dramatic. Every single surface of the home is covered in wallpaper.

In the example featured here, the sliding closet doors in a study are covered in the same masculine plaid that is used on all the walls and the door to the room. This is a perfect unique application of wallpaper to tie a room together and to cover surfaces, wood or otherwise, that don’t enhance the overall effect or are in poor condition.

Cleveland Chinese Restaurant

In this Cleveland area Chinese restaurant a neutral pattern has been used to create a warm, uncluttered surface for the application of oriental art. Long noted as one of Cleveland’s finest Chinese restaurants, Li Wah (check out their dim sum on Saturday or Sunday), was anxious to match existing wallpaper for a new expansion in Asia Plaza. The new restaurant, called E. 30th Cafe, features Korean, Vietnamese, Thai and Japanese cuisine. The soft off white wallpaper is used on all wall surfaces including the area behind the sushi bar featured in this picture. The proud owner, Donna Hom, looks forward to greeting you.
